The NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) is warning consumers about a new telephone scam in which the caller is seeking personal information.
In the alert, the caller is suggesting that they work for the NCUA and then request personal or financial information. Read the full alert here: NCUA Announcement
Quest Federal Credit Union would like to take this opportunity to remind our member/owners that we will never call or email our members seeking information, as your chosen financial institution, we already have your information at the ready in the event that you call us. Beware of calls or emails requesting account numbers, credit or debit card numbers, social security numbers, usernames or PIN numbers. Typically these emails will claim that you have to respond quickly or your account/cards will be closed or blocked.
Never provide information via phone or email to suspicious requests for personal information (or PI). Instead, hang up, make a note of the date, time, and content of the phone call and let us know about the call or email so we can monitor and alert other member/owners!
