From the CEO – April 2024

From the CEO’s Desk

Hello, my name is Matt Jennings, and I am the Chief Executive Officer of Quest Federal Credit Union and I hope this letter finds you all well and in good health.

First, our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Indian Lake community for your continued progress in recovering from the recent tornado damage. We offer our condolences to those families that lost loved ones and we are here to serve through this recovery period in any way that we can. Our office escaped damage, but our neighbors did not fare as well, and we hope for their speedy repair and replacement of homes and belongings.

Saturday, March 16th marked our 55th Annual Meeting of Member Owners and we had a fantastic breakfast served by the Plaza Inn Family Restaurant and enjoyed the beautiful Memorial Park Golf Course views. President Sarah Wirbel updated the attendees on our successes in 2023, I summarized our financial performance for year end as well as our plans for 2024 and Vice President Ron Rogers completed the nominating cycle for 2024. Returning to the Board of Directors are Nikki Haushalter and Brandon Ramge and Mark Light will return on the Credit Committee. I also had the pleasure of recognizing the Board and Staff Members for their years of service and they are as follows; Natasha Dyer, Jason Wilson, Alexis Smith, Mackenzie Wallace, Kelly Schwartz and Steven Stalder for 5 years. Cam Hemmerly, Nikki Haushalter, Kayla Richardson, Brian Sprang and Krane Stahler for 10 years. Chuck Butcher for 15 years, Jessica Shepherd for 25 years, Tammy Sherman for 30 years and Jeff Beach for 40 years.

The card transition conversation is heating up as we head into 2024 and we will begin pushing out more and more information to our member owners through our website, mailings and social media. Do not hesitate to call or stop by one of our branches if you have questions but in reality, this transition should be a non-event for our members. The real change is the backside processing that most members do not see and a change to our card reward program. Again, if you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out.

If you have not already, please check out our Exploration Podcast series which you can find on our website or by visiting the podcast app on your smart phone and searching Quest Exploration. We have built a robust library covering many topics that you may find of interest or that can be used for self help for such things as online banking, learning how to apply for loans, student loans and much more.

Listen to Exploration!

In closing, thank you for your patronage, and the Board of Directors and Staff would like to wish you all the best. We view Quest as a big family and we are here to help, especially during difficult times like our friends and neighbors in the Indian Lake region are experiencing. We have several options for disaster assistance programs for our new and existing members and if you need help, I encourage you to reach out to any of our branch locations. Thank you and I welcome any comments, suggestions or questions from our member owners. I can be reached by calling the Main Office or via email at mjennings@questfcu.com. Thank you for your loyal patronage to Quest and I challenge you to Explore the Possibilities!
