FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Kenton, OH — Quest Federal Credit Union is announcing the appointment of Austin Oglesbee and Jennifer Hattery to the organization’s Credit Committee. Mark Light and Travis King both have relocated out of state and have resigned their positions. “Quest would like to thank Travis and Mark for their many years of dedication and volunteerism to our credit union. Both were passionate about assisting our members in achieving their financial goals” stated Matt Jennings, CEO of Quest.

Austin Oglesbee began his training with Quest in 2022 as a Board Intern and has learned several areas of operation of the credit union and was a solid fit for the credit committee based on his education and business background. Austin is a graduate of Upper Scioto Valley school and achieved an associate’s degree from Rhodes State College. For the last 11 years, Austin has worked as the Sales Manager for WIWA which is an industry leader in industrial coatings along with operating the family farm with his father and brother. Austin is married to Brittanie, and they have a 9-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter.

Jennifer Hattery also began her career with Quest serving as a Board Intern since 2022. Jennifer has experience in many business and professional areas and proved to be a quick study and a strong candidate for the Credit Committee. Jennifer is a graduate of Kenton Senior High School and currently works as the Adult Programming Coordinator for the Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library and also serves as an Assistant with the United Way of Hardin County. Jennifer and her husband Brian reside in Kenton with their four daughters and are active members of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church among several other area organizations. Jennifer’s passion for her community and giving back is a product of working in the family business of her parents, Tom and Cathy Taylor, who were the former owners of BR Brunson’s Family Restaurant where Jennifer interacted with many customers and organizations in our community.

Sarah Wirbel, President of the Board stated “Quest is pleased to have tremendous volunteer interns that are learning something new all the time and are always open to learning more about the operations of the credit union and the duties of our Board and Committees. Austin and Jennifer have caught on very quickly and are going to do great things for our community and our members serving on our Credit Committee”.

The Credit Committee role is to set and manage the lending and other related policies of the credit union along with reviewing loans and insuring loan quality standards are adhered to by the loan department. A Credit Committee member is an elected position and with the mid-term departure of Light and King, the Board of Directors took the action of appointment to keep the Credit Committee strong and functioning as intended.
