From the CEO’s Desk

Hello, my name is Matt Jennings, and I am the Chief Executive Officer of Quest Federal Credit Union, and I hope this letter finds you all well.

Memorial Day is just behind us, and Independence Day is just around the corner so I would like to take a moment and thank all of our Veterans that have served and sacrificed for this great country! As of May 31st, our financial position remains extremely strong with assets growing to $215m, with loans over $144m, and Net worth at 8.90%. Delinquency is running higher than usual, but this is across the board for most of our peer group currently. All in all, Quest is growing, and we are financially strong.

We are beyond thrilled to announce the seventh branch in our lineup coming soon in Carey, Ohio. This is an expansion that has been in the planning phases for several years. We had planned to embark on this project after the Indian Lake expansion which of course was delayed a year by the COVID financial uncertainty. Once the Indian Lake office was completed in August of 2022, we shifted our focus to an area of great interest and potential for Quest which had been identified as Carey. Carey has a robust economy and fantastic heritage, and we are excited to serve the community. Vaughn Industries, a Carey based company, is going to serve as general contractor and project manager. Quest and Vaughn will be constructing buildings at the same time and at adjoining locations which allows us to maximize the efficiency of contractors and coordination of material and labor. We will announce the groundbreaking soon, but you can read about the expansion and see a rendering of the building on the website and on our social media pages. The building is going to fit into the area well and will be an attractive and unique addition to our fleet of branches. More to come soon with construction updates, news of local hiring to fill the positions of the branch and our expected opening date.

Don’t Tax My Credit Union!

Quest Federal Credit Union needs your help!

At Quest Federal Credit Union, it’s our mission to help our members fulfill their dreams and meet their financial goals. A mission made possible by the credit union federal income tax status.

The credit union federal tax status allows credit unions to offer better rates, lower fees, and better services to their members and communities. This tax status pays off year after year, with a 1,300% return on investment.

With tax reform underway, banks are urging Congress to eliminate the credit union tax status, trying to eliminate competition. This would eliminate the services that Quest Federal Credit Union provides, hurting our members and our community.

Simply put, a new tax on credit unions is a tax on you.

Now is the time to let Congress know that credit unions are essential to the communities they serve and oppose any attempt to remove the credit union tax status.

Tell Congress: Don’t Tax My Credit Union!

Thank you for your attention to this, we appreciate your support and your membership here at Quest Federal Credit Union. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I can be reached by calling the Main Office or via email at mjennings@questfcu.com. Thank you for your loyal patronage to Quest and I challenge you to Explore the Possibilities!

Hello, my name is Matt Jennings, and I am the Chief Executive Officer of Quest Federal Credit Union, and I hope this letter finds you all well.

Quest has started the year off on good footing, growing to $205m, with loans over $137m, Net worth at 9.09% and delinquency decreasing to 0.69% as of February close. All in all, Quest is growing, and we are financially strong.

Saturday, March 15th marked our 56th Annual Meeting of Member Owners and we had a fantastic breakfast served by More than just BBQ and enjoyed the beautiful, although rainy Memorial Park Golf Course views. President Sarah Wirbel updated the attendees on our successes in 2024, Cam Hemmerly summarized our financial performance for year end 2024 and I updated those present on our plans for 2025. Vice President Ron Rogers completed the nominating cycle for 2025. Returning to the Board of Directors are Sarah Wirbel, Cam Hemmerly and Luke Larrabee with Austin Oglesbee returning to the Credit Committee. I also had the pleasure of recognizing the Board and Staff Members for their years of service and they are as follows; Service awards were presented to Shenan Kelly, Luke Larrabee and Hilary Dalton for 5 years. Kelly Rickenbacher and Emily Heilman for 10 years. Angela Newland and Tracy Hollinger for 15 years. Karla Lowe and Jennifer Musson for 20 years. Deb Houser and Paige Wallace for 25 years.
